LCDQ Legends: Window

I am extremely honored to be designing a window for the LCDQ (La Cienaga Design Quarter) LEGENDS event this May. The event has become like the Oscars of the design world, or at least it is to a design geek like me. The concept for the windows, Where Muses Dwell, invites us tell our stories of inspiration, our own creation myths, so to speak. Well, my spark of design creation took place in my mother's workroom. From the floor of the the little room on the third floor of our home, I would watch my mother sew. Her creativity and drive dared me to dream big, and allowed me to believe that anything was truly possible.

For my window, I chose the top, triangular window of Marc Phillips, an unbelievably great custom rug company. And how amazing is this space? It already feels like the perfect place for my muse to dwell!
