Scouring Savannah and Charleston

I love the fact that my job allows for me to travel the country, searching for both inspiration and amazing, unique pieces for my clients.  On a recent antiquing trip to the South, I was struck by gorgeous architectural details.

I catalogue the images from my travels into an inspiration library, and I often reflect on it when designing for clients.   Could that divine dental molding from Savannah be applied to the border of a sofa base? Or perhaps the striped brick framing a row of windows in Charleston could become a gorgeous kitchen back splash that extends from counter top to ceiling?  It's not so much about taking the architectural elements and directly applying them to homes or pieces, but using them to inspire the creation of something completely new and bespoke.
