Collecting: French Bistro Chairs

Look what I found!  On one of our recent antiquing trips I came across these beauties.  The unusual shape and color immediately caught my eye and I just knew that they had to come back to the studio with me.

Bistro chairs have been the hallmark of Parisian cafes for over a century.   They remain popular because of their whimsical designs, not to mention their durability, and they make the perfect kitchen chair.  But they also are great as accent chairs on an all weather porch, or in a kids room paired with an art table.  The options are endless.  I can't wait to see where these two pop up in one of my designs (and when they do I'll  be sure to share).
